Glass ornaments keep best individually wrapped in acid-free tissue inside a compartmented ornament box, stored somewhere dry and temperature-stable rather than an uninsulated attic or garage. Wrapping each piece separately stops painted and glittered surfaces from rubbing against one another between seasons.
